Raleigh course offers introduction to Shamanism
Explorations in Parallel Dimensions: A course designed to re-acquaint you with your innate shamanic abilities.
This is a one-day introduction to journeys through the world of animals spirits, plant and tree spirits, insect spirits, dis-incarnate spirits, the realm of guides and teachers, the past and the future. We promise that your former two-dimensional world will never appear quite the same again. There will be approximately 8 -11 journeys throughout the day with instructive discussion on the use of drums and rattles, creating sacred space and the formation of a key relationship to your power animal. Attendees are required to arrive with several questions for which they and other attendees will journey for answers. This course has changed lives.
Shamanic visioning or journeying is a natural state of awareness for almost everyone. We live in a world that honors logic and rational thought and which teaches us to shut this innate awareness down . Initially, some people discount shamanic visions as daydreams or "mental white noise". Others have difficulty allowing themselves to drift slightly beyond consciousness out of fear or out of a need to control their experience. As a result, not everyone, it seems, is able to journey the first time. However, most people (95%) are successful in this Course. If you have a moderately active night or day dream life, or can visualize easily, you should have no problem.
This is a course in non-native, non-ritual, pan-cultural Shamanic Journeying. Native North American drums and rattles are used because of their availability and their relationship to this place on the Earth.
Bernard Morin is a teacher of both Shamanism and Reiki. His shamanic abilities have been known to him since childhood. He has been teaching for 12 years and currently lives in Canada.
