I haven't heard the term "gay lib" in a while. Sudden nostalgia for a different era when we talked about "liberation" instead of marriage and serving in the military. Ah, well....

Others have noticed the seeming contradiction in young people (the so-called Generation X) feeling ambivalent about divorce yet supporting gay marriage. Perhaps they are heartened to see that some gays desire the stable relationships that have eluded heterosexuals since the sexual revolution and believe that gays have a right to reap the fruits of marriage.
