Editorial Note: I have deleted a comment by a reader because, in my judgment, it crosses the line of appropriate language. Threats of physical harm or death towards others is not an acceptable expression of anger on this site.

What an odd person to have as a chaplain. I wonder what attributes he has that made someone think he was a good choice for the job? And I wonder why Pontiac arms it's chaplains? Is this common practice among police chaplains?

Sheesh.

I'm curious about the denomination of which he is a "bishop." Bet it's a tiny little thing (the church, I mean). Perhaps he even started it himself. Personally, if I were going to found my own church, I would never settle for being merely "bishop." I think he should have designated himself "archbishop," "cardinal," or "Grand Vizier" (my personal favorite).

More creativity and style; less violence. That's what religion needs. Fewer threats of death and hell, more lame' and feathers.

I have attended one of Vorce's workshops as well. While Vorce is clear in his conviction to use a gun and that he does not agree with homosexuality, he's not interested in killing homosexuals. If he were, he would have killed his son already -- his son is gay and he's very supportive and loving of him, despite his disagreement with his lifestyle. Perhaps Rev. Bidwell automatically connected Vorce's pro-gun status w/ his disregard for homosexuality... Oh well! No one knows for sure, since none of us were there.

You ever wonder why so many men have a problem with Homosexuality. Well all men start out their lives as Bisexuals.Oh!, You think that this isn't true. Well, Ones mother is the first human relationship that we come in contact with, in the sense of nurishment, and it's also our first sexual, Oral-Pleasuring. Our Bisexuality then forms as we discover our own genitals, in 'Masturbation'And as far as I see it,All men. They have their own Bisexuality to deal with. nd any form of Self-Pleasuring, be it male/female "masturbation'Is same gender sexuality. So most men are involved in Homosexuality, wouldn't you say?

As one of David Vorce's sons, I would like to make a comment myself. Yes, he has strong convictions pertaining to his beliefs in what the bible says. One of those is that homosexuality is a sin. So is murder. He would never threaten to kill homosexuals, or anyone for that matter. Your site speaks of loving one another and not holding preconseptions towards others. Have you met with my father? Have you spoken to him on the phone? He is a man that values life and happiness. He does not tolerate hate in any form. He believes homosexuality is a sin, but he doesn't believe it is his place, or right, to judge. He will freely tell you God is the final Judge. His eldest son is gay but he loves him with all his heart, because he is his son. If your son made choices you didn't agree with, would you hate him or stand behind him? Not agreeing with someones way of life, and saying openly, that you take the bible literally, does not make you a person to be hated or slandered. Posting unsupported comments about someone is as bad as saying homosexuals should be killed. That a thief should have his hand cut off. In my opinion all are grossly wrong. I have always had an open mind. I do not care that one of my brothers is gay. He's my brother. My father is a preacher that believes what is written in the bible. He does not just pick and choose the parts he feels like believing. Because of, or inspite of, this I love him. He's my father. If you do not have a recording or transcript of the seminar, why post the negative article? Both were available.

If you were to ask me my opinion pertaining to homosexuality, I would say that I view people as people. I don't care if you are gay or straight. I don't care what your race or religion is. If you treat everyone you come in contact with as a fellow human being and accept others as they are, I will stand beside you. If you prejudge others based on rumor, preconceived ideals, or hateful misconceptions, I will let you fall on your own, and alone. I was raised by Rev. David C. Vorce. This is how he raised me.

hi vorce. thank you for this input. things often can be skewed and misunderstood when there is no context provided. perhaps you could share a recording or a transcript of this particular seminar with us? then, as you suggest, we could all view the truth as it actually occurred.

God bless with much love and hope. pj
