Radical Faerie co-founder, Don Kilhefner, and author Mark Thompson will give a talk on the Radical Faeries at 2pm on Sunday, February 15, 2009, at the ONE National Gay and Lesbian Archives, 909 West Adams Blvd. in Los Angeles, CA.

Ah the good old days! I wish lesbians could once again get back our separate spaces that are fast drying up due to the LGBT-bacon lettuce and tomato homogenization sandwich -- you know what happens in coalitions don't you? Women and lesbians get shoved out of sight yet again.
No danger of that for the boys though.

Although I haven't had much interaction with "official" Faeries, they fill an important role in gay culture. Sort of consider myself a solitary Faerie, actually. But I don't know how many young people know about the Faeries. I think they have an inspiring story to tell, but in order to remain relevant--and they are relevant given the increased attention on the environment and living simply plus the overall watering down of LGBT culture--they need to become more visible.
